You can select menu "Manage | Device" to enter device management page.

Depend on the support of disk drive and controller driver, you can adjust settings for a disk: Read Ahead, Write Cache, TCQ, and NCQ. Each feature can be enabled or disabled individually.
When you physically add drives to the controller while the system is running, you can rescan the controller to reflect the change.
To rescan the devices:
1. Select menu "Manage | Device".
2. Click "Rescan Devices" button.
Note: When you are hot-plugging an array, run rescan after you have all array members plugged. And you can rescan all the devices on the Array Management page.
Initializing a disk writes necessary RAID configuration information to that disk. To create arrays, you must have initialized your disks first. Initialization will destroy all data on the disk.
To initialize disk:
1. Select menu "Manage | Device".
2. Click "Initialize Devices" button.
To unplug a device:
1. Select menu "Manage | Device".
2. Click "Unplug" button.
Note: You can't unplug the member device of an array.
